Meta is making a bold move to win back content creators, and this time, money is leading the strategy.
The company has introduced a new program called Creator Fast Track, offering monthly payments of up to $3,000 to creators who join Facebook from platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. The goal is simple: attract experienced creators and give them a reason to take Facebook seriously again.
This program is mainly for creators who already have an audience elsewhere but are either new to Facebook or haven’t been active on it. Those with at least 100,000 followers can earn up to $1,000 per month, while creators with over one million followers can earn as much as $3,000 monthly.
To qualify, participants must post short videos, known as Reels. In return, Meta promises not just payment, but also increased visibility. This means their content will be shown to more users, helping them grow faster on the platform.
Another major benefit is instant access to Facebook’s monetization system. Creators can earn additional income based on how well their content performs, including views and engagement. Even after the three-month program ends, they can continue making money from their content.
Meta says this move is meant to solve a common problem many creators face. Even with a large following on other platforms, starting fresh on Facebook can be difficult. This program gives them a head start by boosting reach and visibility from day one.
The company is clearly investing heavily in creators. In 2025 alone, Meta paid out nearly $3 billion through its monetization programs, marking its highest payout yet. Reels alone account for a large portion of these earnings, showing how important short-form video has become.
Facebook has struggled in recent years to compete with platforms like TikTok and YouTube, especially among younger users. To stay relevant, Meta has been rolling out new tools and features, including AI-powered translation that allows creators to reach global audiences by automatically dubbing their videos into different languages.
There have also been improvements in monetization access. Creators in more regions can now earn from their content through features like in-stream ads and ads on Reels, as long as they meet basic requirements such as having at least 5,000 followers and following platform guidelines.
All of these points to one clear shift. Facebook is no longer just a place to connect with friends. It is becoming a serious platform for content creators to grow and earn.
The real question now is whether creators will make the switch.
