A cutting-edge Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) system called cipherKEY tap2sign™️ MFA has been patented by Dr. Oluseyi Akindeinde, a tech expert from Nigeria. This innovative security technology utilizes blockchain, public/private key cryptography, and NFC (Near Field Communication) to provide top-tier protection from identity theft, phishing, and social engineering attacks.

Multiple authentication methods from different categories of credentials are required to confirm a user’s identity in this MFA system, which Akindeinde invented. The patent application was filed on June 22, 2023, and officially granted on August 28, 2023.

Before securing the patent, this blockchain-driven MFA underwent rigorous testing and reviews. Dr. Akindeinde was inspired to create this technology due to his advocacy for blockchain-based authentication methods.

CipherKEY tap2sign™️ is an innovative MFA technology that combines public/private keys, blockchain, Web3 tech, and NFC cards. It introduces a new authentication factor – “something you do,” in addition to traditional “something you have” and “something you know” factors.

In this system, “something you have” is the cipherKEY NFC card, and “something you do” is tapping the card against your phone. This unique combination of factors enhances security and user-friendliness.

He emphasized that cipherKEY tap2sign™️ MFA provides robust protection for digital identities and data in an increasingly vulnerable digital world, ensuring peace of mind for users.
